Your Role as a Project Manager

The Professional Services Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of WorkJam services to our customers and partners, and the successful execution of the project plan. The Project Manager establishes and executes procedures to ensure superior customer implementations of WorkJam software.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for the delivery of WorkJam services on implementations of our software with customers and partners.
  • Responsible for all client interactions while ensuring delivery and implementation of new product features based on client requirements, meeting contractual objectives including milestone payments, working closely with the WorkJam Development Project Team.
  • Proactively manage project activities throughout the project lifecycle, including kick-off, scheduling, budget, and other factors necessary for success ensuring projects are delivered on-time, on-budget and within scope.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, both with day-to-day client contacts and client executives especially Project Sponsors.
  • Work closely with client project management team to keep project on track.
  • Understands client’s business and industry to provide strategies and support in implementation.
  • Lead key clients and internal meetings:
    • Weekly status calls with client.
    • Regular steering committee meetings with client executives.
    • Regular executive updates.
  • Develop and maintain implementation plans, issue lists, and status reports throughout the project.
  • Guide and direct clients to optimal solutions to facilitate client success.
  • Regularly meet with and inform Services Leadership (Director and Manager) and executive sponsors on status of projects, including escalation points, as needed.
  • Work closely with the Functional Consultants and Integration Specialists to make sure all deliverables are completed in accordance with the project plan.
  • Work with Development team on client requirements and timelines.
  • Travel as required – some international.
  • Build/maintain relationships ensuring success of implementations.
  • Manage partners, as resources, for projects involving sub-contractors ensuring the success of the implementation. 

 

What we're looking for:

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills / detail-oriented
  • Ability to effectively manage customers and build relationships
  • Experience working with all levels in an organization
  • Aptitude to learn WorkJam product functionality
  • Ability to handle multiple projects/clients at once
  • Experience working with Software or IT Implementations is a requirement
  • Experience with workforce management applications is a strong asset
  • Must be a self-starter and effectively work under limited supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management
  • Experience with JIRA a plus
  • PMP Certification a plus
